Snowdon Sunrise

Snowdon Sunrise

About your adventure

Your adventure starts in Llanberis. We will start walking in the dark, taking the Llanberis Path ascending Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) reaching the summit in time to see the spectacular sight of the sun rising over Snowdonia.

Can we guarantee a sunrise?

We’re good but we can’t control the weather just yet (Our AME scientists are working on it though – you should see the chemical formula’s they are coming up with!).

As this event is very much dependant on the weather, and although we will do our best to arrive at the summit in time for the sunrise, clear skies cannot be guaranteed.

However there are things we can control! We want everyone to get the chance to see a sunrise on Snowdon. So if you don’t get to see a sunrise you can join us for free on one of our other dates where availability allows. We are the only company that gives you this guarantee so you can book with confidence.

What you will need to bring

As with any mountain hike, there are some things you will need to make sure you have the best chance of walking to the summit of Snowdon.

Below is a list of essential items you will need;

Sturdy and comfortable walking/hiking shoes that you have worn in
Rucksack, preferably with a dry bag in too just in case it rains
Spare fleece or warm top
Waterproof jacket and trousers
Something to drink – Water is best and approximately 2 litres
Something to eat – bring snacks and perhaps a few sandwiches
You may wish to bring walking poles if you are used to using them

2020 Dates

Due to recent events surrounding the threat and spread of Coronavirus in the UK and more specifically the proliferation of the virus in Wales, AME have taken the decision to suspend all future events until the situation is clearer and we can be sure that travel across the UK does not threaten local residents.
